A documentary about a group of adopted Korean children who tour the country of their birth and meet their foster mothers.  First Person Cinema Series, Little Theatre, Seattle 2001.

DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT
Since 1992 Tim and Kim Holm of Seattle have led tours for Korean adoptees and their families.  In accompanying our daughter, Hana, on this tour I was particularly interested in how the kids anticipated and reacted to the experience of going to the country of their birth of which they had no memory.  In Seattle, these kids had grown up used to the fact that they were different--adopted Asians in an American world they called their own.  In Korea, they had the experience of visiting a culture where everyone looked like them, but where the culture and language were completely foreign. This film is about that irony and about Hana's poignant reunion with a foster mother who embodies unconditional love.
